One of the world’s oldest pigments has been around so long it has many names – Royal, Shellfish, Imperial, Byzantine and Purple of the Ancients. We use mineral pigments for the substance of the colour (letting the shellfish off the hook) and offer a tone, not for the fainthearted, but so rewarding when used with high contrast whites for the trim or an all over treatment with rich textiles. Discover the rest of our natural paints, with pure natural pigments that have an extraordinary depth and response to light which synthetic paints cannot recreate.
We were lucky enough to buy our dream 18th century farmhouse last year. We decided that decoration would be done using suitably premium paints. After much market research and many sample pots from various suppliers we chose Edward Bulmer natural paint, both for the undoubted quality and also the colour palette on offer. We have so far used Lead White for all the walls in the office / library and in our most recent project, Tyrian, Ochre and Spanish White for the lounge. We are now firm Edward Bulmer converts & there are already samples on the walls of the kitchen, utility & boot room for us to ponder until the new year. I don't hesitate to recommend them.
