Our Shades Explained We often hear that you love the colour but you would like it a little bit lighter. Or you would like to use a number of different shades of a colour in the room. Or you would like to use a very light version on the ceiling. So we have introduced lighter Shades in 24 of our top selling colours (see below) to make sure you get the perfect colour for your home. You can see examples of our shades on our NEW colour chart, which you can see illustrated below. However, we would again strongly recommend ordering these in a sample pot if you are still unsure. These lighter shade colours are marked with an icon on the swatch on the website and with a red asterix on the concertina. We have created three lighter shades, so 60%, 40% and 20%. We do this carefully by reducing the pigment but without the colour migrating completely. Having said that the 20% can be quite light. Below are a couple of examples of our best selling shade colours – Cuisse de Nymphe Emue and Jonquil, 100% is the ‘full colour’ whilst 60% includes slightly less pigment of the colour, then 40% and 20% are much lighter – a white almost – to the original.
