In his first book, The Colourful Past, architectural historian, interior designer and natural paint pioneer Edward Bulmer opens the doors to some of Britain’s finest country houses, exploring his work at Althorp, Goodwood, Pitshill House, Broughton Hall and his own Queen Anne home, Court of Noke.
Edward Bulmer represents a new generation of designers bringing fresh life to historic homes. His work blends a deep respect for classical British country house traditions with an understanding of how modern families live today. With a discerning eye for the timeless and well-worn, he pairs natural textures with rich, contemporary colour palettes – a philosophy reflected in his all-natural, toxin-free paints, which suit both traditional and eclectic interiors.
Published by Rizzoli, The Colourful Past features a foreword by The Duchess of Richmond and photography by Paul Whitbread.
Signed copies: If you would like Edward to sign your copy, please email us at info@edwardbulmerpaint.co.uk after placing your order with the recipient’s name and we will be happy to arrange this.
