Edward Reinvents his Smallest Room into a Space Full of Colour and Wonder

When Inigo suggested coming to the Herefordshire home of our founder Edward Bulmer we thought we had to come up with something unique and never seen before for them! Edward’s home has been through many transformations, nowhere is this clearer today – perhaps surprisingly – than in the current ground-floor WC.

Ben Branson: Pioneer of Great Taste

Following on from our exciting Seedlip X EBNP collaboration we took a second to talk to its founder Ben Branson.

Sustainable Design Innovators: Naturalmat

As you are deciding on the beautiful natural paint colours for your walls, perhaps you’d like to consider a natural alternative to bedding to complete your healthy home transformation?

In Conversation with Seedlip & EBNP

Watch the full interview with Ben Branson (founder of Seedlip) and Edward Bulmer as they discuss all things nature, flavour, design and sustainability!

Constance Spry and The Fashion for Flowers

This summer the Garden Museum will be celebrating the doyenne of flowers, the 20th century’s most influential floral decorator, Constance Spry. Guest curated by floral designer and writer Shane Connolly, this new exhibition will explore Spry’s exceptional life, achievements and legacy, with exclusive access to her archive at the RHS Lindley Library.

Designing Havens for Heroes

When we think back to a year ago, there was a stark uncertainty of what was to come, yet across the country and globe we united. Interior Designer Francesca Rowan-Plowden spared no time in trying to help, using her creative background to set up a charity initiative in April 2020 – Design Havens for Heroes.

Time to get Crafty and Upcycle

Unexpected time at home has created a desire in some to be a little creative, or do a bit of upcycling and give new life to existing items.

We give to you: Our Christmas Advent

We are now readying ourselves for that ever important gift list to our friends and family – gifts to treasure or even gifts we just want to keep to ourselves…

Through the Keyhole – House & Garden Festival 2018

Our decorated space at this year’s House & Garden Festival was all about collaboration.  Edward’s idea for the decorated space was to link old and new, at the physical juxtaposition between the Interiors Art & Antiques Fair and the House & Garden Festival.

How much paint do I need?

We have created this calculator to help you estimate the amount of paint you will need for your project. Please note that this is only an estimate, based on normal surfaces with two coats of paint.

Please check our practical painting advice - if you are painting onto a very absorbent surface, you may need more paint, and for best results, you may need to prime your surfaces.

If you end up with any leftover paint, get inspired with ways to use any excess paint - it's even compostable!

What are you painting?

Estimated
Painted Wall/Ceiling Area

Our natural matt emulsion is perfect for interior walls and ceilings.

0 litres

0 m2

This estimate is based on the dimensions of your room, minus the space taken by average doors and windows.

For this area, we suggest would be adequate.

Estimated
Woodwork Area

Our water based eggshell or gloss is ideal for woodwork or metalwork.

0 litres

0 m2

This estimate is based on skirting and the doors/windows you tell us about. 1 litre should cover 2-3 doors or 20m of skirting.

For this area, we suggest would be adequate.
