Understanding Colour Online We take great care to represent our colours as accurately as possible, but digital images and on-screen colour swatches can never fully reproduce the character of real paint. Colours can appear differently depending on your screen, brightness and display settings, while screens are backlit in a way that painted surfaces are not. Colours viewed online should therefore always be considered a guide. Before making your final choice, we strongly recommend exploring your chosen colours using our painted Colour Chart, A5 Colour Swatches or Sample Pots. Our Colour Chart and A5 Swatches are painted with real paint to give a true representation of each colour, while Sample Pots allow you to test the colour within your own space. Using Sample Pots Our 60ml Sample Pots contain Natural Emulsion and are available across our colour collections. For the best indication of how a colour will look in your home, apply two coats to a piece of paper, card or board, or directly to the wall where appropriate. View the colour in situ at different times of day to see how it responds to changing natural and artificial light and sits alongside your furnishings, fabrics and architectural details. Sample Pots are designed to help you choose your colour. They do not represent the sheen of our Water-Based Eggshell or Gloss finishes. Colour appearance can also be influenced by lighting, surface texture, preparation and application. Samples Disclaimer Our Sample Pots are made with natural ingredients and limited preservatives. For best results, we recommend using them within three months of delivery. Once opened, exposure to air may affect the paint over time, and we cannot accept responsibility for changes in consistency or performance after this period. Colour samples are provided in good faith as a guide. As lighting, site conditions, surface preparation and application methods are beyond our control, we cannot guarantee that the finished colour will appear identical in every setting.
