Colour Blocking Childrens bedroom decorated in 'Hector' and 'George' From Edward Bulmer Natural Paints Nursey Collection. Photography by RoomyTown Wall colour and painted chair, both in 'George' Decorating in blocks of colours is a simple and effective way of making a bold statement without too much fuss! The above uses two of our much loved colours ‘Hector’ and ‘George’. It’s usually a technique that involves choosing two contrasting colours and painting a large area of each in a similar pattern side by side. It’s great if you are stuck between two colours and can’t decide (we’ve all been there). You can go bright or monochrome, but the effect is always triumphant! The effect can be as dramatic as you choose and the way you colour block can be as punchy or as soft as you feel comfortable. Playing with lines, diagonal and vertical, maybe using block colours around a window frame or like the photo above, simply splitting the room into two beautifully hued halves. Our paints are are wipeable but not water-resistant due to the fact they contain no plastics, just beautiful, breathable paint!
