An early form of blue with a slightly purply tinge, grey but not cold. This colour has a long history but is still surprisingly lively and fresh. It makes a good background to white objects giving them almost Scandinavian clarity.
"Edward mixed a warm grey blue for our new Entrance Hall with his natural paints. It worked perfectly with the woven paisley curtain fabric we had chosen. Better still these paints are much healthier than modern ones and kinder to allergy sufferers, which was important for us. Goodwood has a very particular character and Edward's palette complimented the architecture, pictures and furniture very well."
