Cinnamon - Natural Paint Colour | Edward Bulmer Natural Paint

Cinnamon

Nathaniel Whittock who published ‘The Decorative Painters and Glaziers Guide’ in 1827 gave the recipe of this colour as Vandyke brown, king’s yellow, Venetian red and whiting. We have followed his recipe in effect but used black and umber instead of Vandyck, just to take the heat out of it, to make it a better wall paint. It has the lovely, soft feel of the summer drenched stucco of Tuscan facades.

"I just love the colours and it has really helped to see them in the flesh"

Susie Webster
