All of our brushes have been specially designed to ensure smooth coverage and a flawless final look, and all made from sustainably-sourced materials. Filaments are a blended mixture of recycled natural and synthetic bristles, designed to deliver excellent results with all paint types.

Beautiful wall colour- makes for a very stylish look
“You might just have converted me- I have Loathed grey – every developer slaps it on every front door and wall – making it supposedly achingly modern (dull) But with colour it is transformed!!”
I very deliberately picked a soft colour palette, Swedish blues, greys, lavender, ivory, mauve and used paints with a chalky, almost distemper-like quality, as they have a restful effect. Edward Bulmer has a lovely range ; we used the Duck Egg in our sitting room.
When we moved into our cottage, we wanted to start by decorating our son’s room. The previous owner had painted the room white which felt stark and uninviting. I contacted the team at Edward Bulmer for advice on which colours to choose for this north facing room and they were incredibly helpful, on numerous occasions! …
In my own home, I favour ‘Clove’ and have used it throughout my hall and stairway, it is a warm, versatile and elegant colour.
We have created this calculator to help you estimate the amount of paint you will need for your project. Please note that this is only an estimate, based on normal surfaces with two coats of paint.
Please check our practical painting advice - if you are painting onto a very absorbent surface, you may need more paint, and for best results, you may need to prime your surfaces.
If you end up with any leftover paint, get inspired with ways to use any excess paint - it's even compostable!
