La Vie en Rose... Edward Bulmer’s irresistible new pink
Pink has fast become the interior designers' favoured new neutral, adored for its timeless elegance. The truth is that as long as there are plenty of earth pigments in the mix then a pink will go with everything from black and metalic frames to all colours of fabrics to marble to wood, the list is endless. So rest assured you can use pink in any room and this versatile colour is super chic, no longer relegated to the nursery.
At Edward Bulmer Natural Paints we have tried to cover every base 'in the pink'. 'Rose' is the modern day proof that natural pigments can achieve wonderfully bright hues. In the 1770’s the Adam brothers coloured umpteen ornamental panel fields with shades of pink and the colour has never really gone out of fashion since.
Pack a punch with our stronger shades like this 'Rose' or 'Nicaragua'! For lighter, gentle shades, try our 'Cuisse de Nyphme Emue' and 'Jonquil', both popular variations of the celebrated plaster pink. Then there is the almost-neutral pastel shade of 'Lilac Pink' which brings calm and warmth to the most drafty halls and landings and just shows one should not be influenced by a name! The gentleness of these colours means that they don't clash with anything but provide a calming backdrop. They are by far our best sellers at the moment as people have discovered how well pinks work in all spaces modern and traditional. We talk about pink to so many of our customers and they love it in their rooms (though many do admit that they had not mentioned the colour name to their husbands before trying a sample pot!)
'Rose' is our creamiest and dreamiest pink yet! Rose is a statement pink but has the soft tonality Edward creates so well even with stronger colours so they do not dominate. It is fast becoming a new favourite for both vibrancy and versatility. Whether your room is north, south, east or west facing this creamy colour will create an elegant and welcoming aesthetic. It is a wonderful hue and works so well with other colours, styled recently by Oka with beautiful accessories, a mixture of patterns and pops of green, finished off against a wonderful 'off white' woodwork, try our 'Fair White'.
The colour pink represents caring, compassion and love. At Edward Bulmer Natural Paints we really care and so we are doing our best to work in harmony with the environment and to look after our world by not using polluting plastics and harmful chemicals in our natural paints. We honestly declare all of our ingredients so you can see for yourself what we are achieving.
The new generation of paints must be healthy for people and their homes - so breathable and safe to use with no harmful consequences. But we know that people need a range of finishes to suit all tastes and needs. So our paints are optimised for performance in a modern world - our colours are durable and wipeable with fantastic coverage over any surface. Why compromise? #LOVEPAINT
